Vila Sol is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and deservedly so. The hotel was established in 2004, you may know the location already for the 27-hole Vila Sol golf course has been around since 1993. This is a luxury resort hotel spread over 150 hectares and surrounded by lush greenery, just two kilometres from the Vilamoura marina.This is the perfect hotel for the golfer with the Vila Sol course on their door step and with the spa to relax in afterwards you can’t go wrong.
Vila Sol Hotel Rooms
They have a total of 189 rooms, including 49 suites, 45 garden suites, 3 master suites and a presidential suite. The standard rooms in the main building have large balconies that look over the golf course and are modern with all the facilities you would expect from a five star establishment such as this. The garden rooms and suites are amidst (surprisingly) the hotels gardens in small villa type housing; these are decorated in a more rustic fashion and have their own little patios and would be perfect for those with a family.Vila Sol Hotel Restaurants & Bars
Guests of the Vila Sol Spa & Golf Resort enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning. Green Pines Restaurant - Serves a range of Portuguese and Spanish influenced Mediterranean dishes in an elegant, modern setting, with views of the golf course and lake. L’Olive Restaurant - Offers international and Mediterranean food, including Foie Gras, Scallops and home-baked bread, along with an extensive wine list. Prime - Serves light meals and snacks in an informal setting, with plasma-screen televisions and a terrace area. As well as the 27-hole golf course amidst the gardens are two tennis courts, a driving range, an indoor swimming pool and huge outdoor swimming pool with bar, sauna and steam room. Vila Sol also have their own beach club called the Ancao, which takes about ten minutes to get on the hotels free shuttle bus. The spa although separate from the hotel is literally only a two minute ride in the free shuttle bus and is one of the largest spas I have ever seen. Not only that but is decorated perfectly in a natural and modern fashion and would be the perfect place to spend the day relaxing. I won’t get into the treatments they offer because they do absolutely everything you can imagine. Guests have a 10% discount on treatments and free use of the Hammam steam room.Vila Sol Hotel Photos
