Senses....Skin Care Centre, centrally located in Lagos, one of the Algarve’s most picturesque towns, offers innovative , progressive therapies as well as more traditional beauty treatments aimed at caring for and nurturing your skin.
The centre is run by Tim Melbourne, who brings a male perspective to the formerly all-female world of skin care and Suzie Bell, the head therapist. Suzie is both informed and informative. She enjoys understanding the science behind the treatments and therefore brings great expertise and knowledge to the treatment room. Not only does she have a fantastic touch but she can evaluate each client’s skin and individual needs and adapt treatments accordingly. The centre uses the renowned Dermalogica products in the treatments. These products are known as “the professional’s choice” and are founded on good science and good results rather than just fancy packaging.
At Senses… Skin Care Centre you’ll find an extensive treatment menu, offering staple beauty favourites such as manicures, pedicures, massage, facials and waxing, to more advanced skin care, non-surgical technologies and reflexology. They are dedicated to providing their clients with the most up-to-date products and treatments, since their opening they have continued to introduce leading brands. Dermalogica, Jessica, Fake Bake and Tisserand Aromatherapy are just some of the well known brands that you can expect to see on the shelves. Senses… Skin Care Centre is the only Beauty and Skin Care Centre on the Algarve offering Dermalogica facial and body treatments, Fake Bake Tanning and Tisserand Aromatherapy.
One of the most recent additions is the Bio Ultimate Platinum Non – Surgical Facelift treatment. I was invited to experience this new treatment and was most certainly impressed. There is no pain or discomfort involved in the treatment. On the contrary, I almost dozed off! Suzie simply passes the probes across certain areas to be treated and the microcurrent does the rest. But what about the results? A recommended course for best results is 10 treatments. I had one treatment but the results were easily visible – definite reduction in lines and smoother skin. So am I convinced? Absolutely! Despite having very sensitive skin I had no adverse reaction whatsoever to the treatment and the results were very pleasing. In addition to this fantastic treatment Senses are also offering the new and highly publicised ‘BT Cocktail Facial’ which offers up to 41% reduction of fine lines, up to 70% reduction in deep lines and wrinkles, and up to 80% reduction in pore size.

    Well done Suzie!

    I am a regular visitor to Senses and over the past couple of years I have got to know Tim and Suzie well. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say that the treatments at Senses are exceptional. The service is professional yet always welcoming and friendly. I also want to say a huge well done to Suzie as she has been shortlisted for Therapist of the Year, what an achievement but so well deserved. Good luck for the finals!

    What an experience

    I phoned Senses...Skin Care Centre and ask them for information on massage and facials, they was very professional and helpful. My stress therapy massage was out of this world and I was in heaven for over an hour. Next to come was the dermalogica facial this was amazing not only was it relaxing but the information about my skin etc was far surpass anything else I had experienced. My husband booked himself in for a back, neck and shoulder massage before we went home and he was very pleased with the treatment. We will both be going back as soon as possible.

    First Facial

    An oasis of calm and tranquility

    I use Senses whenever I am in Lagos throughout the year for all sorts of treatments and have recommended it to friends and family, all of whom have nothing but praise for Susie. In this busy town it is an oasis of calm and tranquility and you leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
