Jacintina’s is something special. An elegant restaurant within a luxurious boutique hotel, amid lush sub tropical gardens and located within the Algarve’s Golden Triangle that is Vale de Lobo and Quinta do Lago.
As soon as you enter the hotel, Quinta Jacintina, you know you are in for a treat. The service, the décor, the attention to detail, all exude comfort and indulgence. A cocktail before dinner is almost compulsory at Jacintina’s. In the summer you can enjoy the peaceful and private gardens and in the winter you can sink into the soft sofas of the lounge. The signature of Jacintina’s is without doubt the Wild Hibiscus Royale cocktail. A whole flower is served within a flute of champagne. As the bubbles stream off the flower, it opens its petals, tinting the champagne pink and giving a subtle flavor of raspberry and rhubarb. You can even eat the flower. Deliciously decadent and wonderfully unique!
The menu at Jacintina’s features International cuisine with strong Portuguese overtones. The best of the local ingredients are used and the menu varies according to the seasons. The natural abundance of the Algarve region is used to full advantage to create unpretentious food skillfully flavored and beautifully presented. The menu can include Roasted Tomato Soup, Carpaccio of Beef with Rocket and Tomato garnish, Monkfish served with a crusted mousse of Prawn and Salmon, Lamb cutlets and Angus Steak. The desserts are home-made and sinfully delicious.
During the summer months Jacintina’s runs a lazy leisurely barbeque on Sunday afternoons, perfect for enjoying the gardens and the Algarve sunshine. In the winter the Traditional Sunday Lunch is a must, ending with a brandy or port in the comfortable sitting room that is so conducive to relaxation and conversation.
