Paddys Bar Overview

Paddy's Bar in Alvor was among the first of the Irish bars to appear in the Algarve - and its the real deal.
The bar is small but friendly, as an Irish bar should be. Spread over two floors Paddy's Bar has been slaking the thirst of happy holidaymakers for twenty years. Owned and run by an Irish-Portuguese couple, there is live music pretty much every night and you can catch all the major sporting events on the large screen TVs.

    Paddys Bar Rocks

    Richard from UK

Hi My wife and I took a long holiday in Alvor in 2002 and ended up staying for 4 months. The atmosphere was fantastic mainly due to Paddys bar. There was a great night life in the whole area and the locals were very friendly. We haven't been back since we had kids but are now planning to visit this year (2009) One thing I would like to know if anyone can help me is this - does Seamie still play every nignt? seriously if he does, I will be more than happy, this guy can pull in a crowd from 20 miles away with his traditional Irish singing. If anyone does know the answer to this please let me know, and if you're ever there to hear him sing, buy him a brandy Mel... Richard

    The worst toilets in Alvor

    Tom Collins from Dublin

When I was there last year the toilets were absolutely awful. However, if they improve I will be back for the atmosphere.
