The Hotel Grande Real Santa Eulalia or Hotel Grande Real for short was completed in 2004 and looks very modern both inside and out. The hotel is on the doorstep of a beautifully clean, sandy beach and has one of the best equipped spas in the Algarve. The beautiful beach is literally down some steps at the front of the hotel and has a couple of restaurants and bars on it; one of the restaurants where you can charge to your room turns into a club after dinner. However there is always the short taxi ride into Albufeira where the party really happens.

Hotel Grande Real has a total of 344 rooms which are split between the resort apartment suites which are in what I would describe as mini villas in the grounds and those across the four floors of the hotel. The rooms in the hotel are clean and modern with some fantastic views of the ocean and the hotel gardens. There are also ground floor rooms that open into the garden and have their own private sunken jacuzzis, needless to say these are extremely popular. The resort apartments would be perfect for a family, especially one with small kids as these have cooking facilities and would make for a little more privacy.Grande Real Santa Eulalia Restaurants & Bars

Guests have a choice of two large pools at the front of the hotel, both heated, one of them with sea water, or two at the back of the hotel where the apartment suites are located. It is one of those spas that has far too many treatments and machines doing this and that to list but briefly there are 16 treatment rooms, a hamman, a sauna and an indoor treatment pool. Once entering the spa, the whole ambience and dimmed lighting almost made me curl up right on the spot. There are also tennis courts in the grounds and a large gym for the more active. There are two restaurants in the hotel, the main buffet restaurant that has a ground floor terrace near the pool and another restaurant with an A La Carte that serves very exclusive international cuisine.Enquiry about Availability for Grande Real Santa Eulalia
